Due to COVID-19, all Volunteer shifts are currently on hold.
The National Guard is helping North Texas Food Bank in sorting, packing and distributing food to partner agencies and/or directly to the food challenged individuals and families across North Texas.

With the massive Hunger Mitao Peanut Butter food drive coming to an end, what to do next? Well, the Indian American community came out in a big way to volunteer today and what an amazing impact they had! A passionate group of over 125 people from the NRIVA community volunteered to enable thousands of meals for the needy and food challenged in North Texas... kudos and #HungerMitao

5th Annual Plano Peanut Butter Drive


​IAC raised over 2,900 lbs of peanut butter for the annual Plano Peanut Butter Drive.

​NTFB opened the doors of a brand new facility, the Perot Family Campus in September!

Hunger Mitao Week


​IAC hosted “Hunger Mitao!” Week from August 11-17, 2018! On the heels of the successful One Million Meal March campaign, the Indian American Council for North Texas Food Bank raised 4,048 lbs of food!

Anand Bazaar


​The India Association of North Texas hosted its Annual Anand Bazaar to celebrate India's Independence Day. ​As proud supporters of North Texas Food Bank and the “Hunger Mitao!” campaign attendees brought a jar of peanut butter as donation to feed the hungry in North Texas.

NTFB and IAC joined the Communities Foundation of Texas for the Hackathon event. Participants engaged with our team as well as other experts in the community to propose solutions that tackle food insecurity in Texas

Taste of the Cowboys


More than 100 IAC members joined community members at the annual Taste of the Cowboys event, benefiting the North Texas Food Bank.

Empty Bowls


IAC members came to suppor the 19th annual Empty Bowls event. Dallas chefs and restaurants, potters, community partners and donors  helped raise funds for NTFB.

Strategy Retreat


Steering Committee members met for their first Strategy Retreat. Members and NTFB staff engaged in discussion and planned efforts to increase involvement and meals provided.

DFW US India Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet


IAC was proud to be in attendance as NTFB was recognized by the DFW US Indian Chamber of Commerce at their 19th annual awards banquet. NTFB won the Outstanding Community Service Award.
